Approximately There are 8,000 biogas plants in Germany alone. In the case of fermentation of organic material in a biogas plant, production residues, the so-called digestate residues, are obtained, which is well suited as fertilizer for use in agriculture due to the high nitrogen and nutrient content. However, such large quantities fall so that the ratio of a suitable fertilization in the ground tipped. The excess of nitrogen in the soil will, if not stopped, grow into an ecological disaster and endanger us all.
Why is that? The high nitrogen (nitrate) loads can no longer be absorbed by the plants. They seep into the soil, enter the groundwater into the rivers and finally into the seas. There the nitrates stimulate the growth of micro-algae. These consume the oxygen and any life suffocated. The legislature has now responded and the spreading on the fields was greatly reduced. This creates a major problem for the biogas operators, the fermentation residues fall. As where, that is the big question. When using our fermenter descaler, this question no longer needs to be asked. The fermenting residues are dried from the press screw sealer in a drying process to a moisture content of 10-15% and passed on to the fermenter descaler. The digestate is heated, degassed and reduced by two-thirds in mass. The final product is a fine-pored biocarbon, a gas-friendly gas and heat.
Biocoal is not a fertilizer, but a store, which must be biologically activated before it is introduced into the soil. This is fully automatic with lactic acid bacteria and liquid manure. This results in a highly efficient sustained and, above all, odorless fertilizer. Efficiency is increased by more than 50%, as the nutrients are fixed and maintained and do not migrate to groundwater. The use of plant cows as a litter in the barn stabilizes the stable climate. By reducing fermentation residues in biocarbon, the balance is restored. There is no surplus of ferment. Biocarbon is not a miracle, but it can optimize many processes sustainably and increase the profitability of the farms and shape the environmental balance.

Note: Reactive nitrogen becomes a pollutant in the case of improper use in agriculture. It undermines the functioning of ecosystems for all, threats to biodiversity in water and in the countryside, accelerates climate change and affects health. Therefore, it is our duty to optimize the overloading of the nitrogen cycle into the soil for all benefits.
